Career Update…update

Good-ish news. I’ve been taking a few music books with me to Cowan Mill Church ‘in case’ they asked me to play for them. They hadn’t yet, but my dad mentioned it this previous Sunday and so we hung around after worship for about 45 minutes and talked, I played a bit, and discussed both music and computers. So they wanted me to play this coming Sunday!!! I said that’s a lil’ too early, haha but that I didn’t mind filling in every now and then or playing if we came up with something to play. I also told Pastor Kaplan about LUVR Services, specifically LUVR Web Design and he’s going to bring up about getting a website to the Budget Committe this fall. So that’ll go well, hopefully.

Also, I purchased all 3 Casting Crowns albums and music folios tonight at work. So I’m listening to them now. haha. Maybe, perhaps, I can play for or with Mr. Lovern (Music Leader) seeing as he is enthralled with (and good at) singing CC’s music.

OK. I’m tired so I’m getting off here, backing up the servers and going to bed. Gotta go to VBS 2mrw.

God Bless!

Career Update

Of my four possible career fields (music, computers, business mgmt., and counseling), Music seems to now be a tad more dominant. I’ve been practicing a bit more and at first it was rough because my skill was zilch (b/c of lack of practice skills the last 2 or so years), however I’ve built back up to where I was in these last 2 weeks so that’s a big YAY. 2  years of semi-lost skill back in 2 weeks. haha. Anyway, it’s the fact that I only played music that was at my Late Beginner/Late Intermediate ranges…so I spruced up and jumped back into my books that are late intermediate/early(-mid) advanced so that helps.

Anyway, Casting Crowns is awesome so I’ve got each of their 3 CD’s and music folio books on hold at work (till one of the folios comes in on order, hopefully). That way I can add them to my Evanescence collections. haha.

Anyway, gotta go back to work tomorrow. Yay…sure ok. 🙂

God bless and have a great rest-of-the-week!

Long Day

Today was pretty good…

+++Went to church (Cowan Mill [Baptist] Church)

+++Ate at O’Charleys

+++Got some of that ol’ expensive gas

+++Went to wally-world and the dollar store

+++Got home, checked mail, went outside with whole family for over an hour and swam

+++Professionally taught two rugrats how to swim

+++Everyone went in and we ordered and ate pizza and chit-chatted for a while

+++I began teaching the oldest niece how to play piano tonight (we’ll see how this turns out. haha)

+++Now I’m here typing this very blog.

Thanks for reading and have a blessed week!

Bored=Coloring

Not quite the “coloring” you’d expect. From WAYY back in high school there was one major (of many sites) that we went to when we were bored. It is “I-am-bored.com” which has hundreds or maybe even thousands of rediculous and often worth-while games.

Anyway, I randomly stumbled upon the game I’m about to explain, but obviously I’ve been up quite a while playing it. haha. I did beat it, but with the help of the YouTube walkthru.

The game is called Magic Pen (it’s basically ten-fold better than the original game Crayon Physics (CP)). It’s objective is simple: you try to get the circle/square to the goal flag(s) in whatever way that works best for YOU…that’s right, you. There’s no set way to do it unless you’re not keen enough to have some common sense. 😉

So I dug around the Net for more info on the original game. I played it and it sux because it only allows square-based shapes/objects only…which is why I like magic pen better. BUT there’s good news (no not the part about saving 15% or more on car insurance by switching to Geico) a new version of CP called Crayon Physic Deluxe will be released “as soon as it’s finished” states the designer on his blog. I’m sure it will have wayyyyyyyy better features and levels from the sample video on his site and on YouTube.

So enough of the blah blah blah, here’s a few links to the game:

Later.

LUVR and LUVR Services

So everyone knows, I have two WordPress blogs with one design (layout). This way I can easily manage them, have unique content on each of them that doesn’t affect the other site, and blog posts won’t be irrelevant to each blog sites.

So yeah, this will be easier to use. Anyone who wants to register at either site, let me know.

Have a great week everyone!
